Lohri 2024: Heartfelt Wishes from Amitabh Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal; Sunny Deol Reflects on Nostalgic Moments.

January 13th is celebrated as Lohri this year. On this auspicious festival, numerous celebrities use social media to share their happiness and good wishes. Lohri is widely celebrated in Punjab as a folk festival, it is believed to be a celebration of the winter solstice. On this auspicious day, many big names from Bollywood took the help of social media to extend their warm wishes so that everyone could feel the warmth of the festival. Some of them are Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal, Sunny Deol Neha Dhupia, and many others.

Today, Amitabh Bachchan used X (formerly known as Twitter) to wish his fans a happy Lohiri. He posted a collage of a picture consisting of a Happy Lohri text along with himself tossing peanuts into the holy fire. He wrote: “T 4889 – Happy Lohri .. ‘लोहड़ी दा टक्का दे, रभ थानू बच्चा दे ‘ … this is how the chanting went when they came to homes and families to collect donations on the occasion of Lohri .. Lohri. Vicky Kaushal also took to Instagram and shared a picture of a drum and a bonfire to extend his wishes to his followers.

Actor Sunny Deol got a little nostalgic and posted a picture of himself sitting by a bonfire, reminiscing the simplicity of Lohri, he extended his warm wishes to everyone on this auspicious day. His caption read, “Reflecting on the warmth of Lohri, memories of my mom’s sweets and the shared laughter of the neighborhood celebrations flood my heart. In the hustle of today, I cherish those simpler times. Wishing everyone a very prosperous Lohri.”

Apart from the above-referred public figures, celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Sanjay Dutt, and Esha Deol extend warm wishes on their Instagram stories. Neha Dhupia posted a photograph of her children standing near a bonfire.

Amitabh Bachchan marked his last presence in the hellish action thriller Ganapath with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. His next appearance will be in the sci-fi action film Kalki 2898 AD which will be released this year. Furthermore, he will be making his first Tamil debut co-starring Rajinikanth in the film Vettaiyan. Vicky Kaushal was last seen in Sam Bahadur and Duki. The actor is currently working on Chaava and will also mark a remarkable presence in Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam. Actor Sunny Deol will co-star in a film with Rajkumar Santoshi called Lahore 1947 which is backed by Aamir Khan.
