Mukesh Chhabra released Dil Bechara 2, Sushant Singh Rajput’s fanbase disapproved

Dil Bechara was released after the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, it was his last work of art. He acted Alongside Sanjana Sanghi. The film was directed by Mukesh Chhabra. Mukesh Chhabra recently shared the idea of Dil Bechara 2 on the internet which startled the masses. The original film was Mukesh’s directorial debut starring late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, and it was released after SSR’s death.

Recently, Chhabra took to ‘X’ and without much context wrote: “Dil Bechara 2.” The mere idea of a sequel ignited mixed reactions, particularly among fans still grieving Rajput’s passing. Many expressed concern, One Twitter user commented “No one will watch it without Sushant in it! That movie of yours only succeeded coz of Sushant period,” Another one said “Big no to Dil Bechara 2.”

Some others commented “You are going to make the second part but we will miss #Sushant sir a lot. We will never be able to forget him. May this part 2 also be a hit. We miss you Sushiii. Even though he won’t be there in Part 2, his memories will always be with you through part one.”The sentiment echoed through these responses.

Sushant’s last release

Dil Bechara was released in theatres after Sushant’s death. It marked Sanjana’s film debut and featured Swastika Mukherjee and Saswata Chatterjee. It was the Hindi adaptation of the popular Hollywood film “The Fault in Our Stars,” based on the novel of the same title and stars actors Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort.

 

How did Sushant die?

Tragically, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. His death sent waves of shock across India and remains under investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). His death was a suicide as confirmed by the AIIMS medical board’s report to CBI.

Mukesh and his bond was a Bond Beyond Cinema. Last year, Chhabra, who was Rajput’s best friend, Told Lallantop- “It was during the (Covid-19) pandemic. If I knew what he was going through, I would’ve gone and spoken to him. We used to meet very often. From his first film to his last one, our relationship remained strong.”

The proposed “Dil Bechara 2” ignites a complex conversation about honoring artistic legacies while respecting the immense emotional impact left by departed actors. Chhabra’s decision, if any, will undoubtedly be scrutinized with sensitivity and care in light of the immense love and grief surrounding Sushant Singh Rajput and his final film.
